  • Complete the Module 1 Print Out Worksheets that we cover in the video tutorials.
  • Then move on to step two below and begin to type your content into the PowerPoint or Keynote templates.

Note: The working draft version of the Keynote and PowerPoint templates in this module, are designed so you can see a two-page spread – like you would see facing pages in a book.

To make the journal creation process as easy and enjoyable as possible, it’s important that you be able to see the two-page spreads at a glance, that’s why your working draft is formatted as a two-page spread.

  • However when you are ready to format your manuscript for publication (which we go into in module 3), you’ll need to transfer your content to a single page spread in Canva, PowerPoint or Keynote or a double page spread in InDesign. (You’ll receive these templates in module 3.)

Step Two: Once you’ve completed the Module 1 Print Out Worksheets, transfer your ideas from your pen and paper template into a “type-into” template (below).

  • Option 1: PowerPoint template. Click here to download the PowerPoint template and SAVE IT to your computer.
  • Option 2: If you require a Keynote Template instead of a PowerPoint template – click here to download the KEYNOTE version of the Step Two template. version of the Step Two template.
  • Option 3: Advanced Option – Manuscript-Ready InDesign Template: You can format your manuscript using Adobe InDesign.
    • Click here for the Manuscript-Ready Adobe InDesign template – can only be edited in InDesign.
    • Or you can transfer the content you created in the pen and paper template in Step 1 to PowerPoint or Keynote. Then outsource the Adobe InDesign manuscript formatting to D’vorah or the book designer of your choice.
