Celebrating Showcase Achiever: Lorna Fergusson, Fictionfire Literary ConsultancAbout Lorna: I’m Lorna Fergusson and I’m a writer, teacher, editor, speaker and literary consultant based in Oxford, UK. I’ve taught creative writing for nearly twenty years, including on various Oxford University writing programs. I’ve also run my own live workshops and retreats, which have been so fulfilling to organize. I love the Fictionfire community of writers I’ve met and helped but I want to take this further: I’m looking forward to branching out into the online teaching world, turning many of my workshops and day courses into accessible self-study and group-coaching programs.

How did D’vorah’s Course on Creating an Online Classroom assist you in the process of creating and setting up your course?
D’vorah’s course was invaluable to me as I set up my online classroom: her instructions took me through a logical process so that I could understand the various features and how to make my brand stand out. I’ll come back again and again to her course as I haven’t found anyone else explaining the how-to steps as clearly as she has.
Words of wisdom to those wanting to set up an online classroom: Do it! Share your knowledge as widely as you can and make sure that you create a recognizable branded look to your classroom so people can come back to it again and again as you add more trainings. That’s what I intend to do, creating a suite of online classes. If you’re daunted by the tech, follow D’vorah’s advice and instruction and you can’t go wrong.
