Speak Your Book

From Spoken Word to Published Manuscript

You already have knowledge, ideas, and experiences that could become the foundation for a book. You don't have to start by staring at a blank page and trying to write it all from scratch.

Imagine someone asks you to speak for five minutes about a topic you know well. You jot down a few key points and begin talking. You share what you know, explain your ideas, give examples, and perhaps tell a story or two. The words are already there.

That's the idea behind Speak Your Book. Instead of beginning with a blank page, you'll learn how to organize what you know, speak about your topic, record your ideas, and turn your spoken words into written content you can develop into a book.

You May Be Closer Than You Realize

Perhaps you've wanted to publish a book but the thought of writing one has felt overwhelming. Or maybe you've started writing a book only to have the project sit unfinished. There is another way to create your content.

With Speak Your Book, you'll start with what you already know. I'll walk you through a simple process for identifying a topic, creating a framework for what you want to share, and recording your content one topic at a time.

And if you're wondering, “But what would I speak about?” I've got you covered. You'll work through exercises designed to help you uncover the knowledge, ideas, experiences, and topics you could develop into a book.

You May Already Have Content You Can Build On

You don't necessarily have to create all of your book content from scratch. You can also apply the Speak Your Book process to content you've already created, including:

  • Workshop and presentation recordings
  • Videos and podcasts
  • Articles and blog posts
  • Tutorials and teaching materials
  • Transcripts
  • Worksheets and other written content

In fact, in the demonstration segments of this program, you'll see how I take content from a workshop recording and activity worksheets and develop it into a Kindle book.

From Your Content to a Published Kindle Book

Speak Your Book doesn't stop when you've created your content. Once your manuscript is ready, the Kindle Core Training will guide you through preparing your manuscript in Word, formatting your book in Kindle Create, creating your Kindle cover, and publishing your finished book through Amazon KDP.

You don't have to spend months or years trying to write a book from scratch. Start with what you know. Speak about it. Turn your words into content. And take it one step at a time toward becoming a published author.

What Students Are Saying

"I feel so at ease working with D’vorah. I love her gentle nature. She is an excellent teacher. She spells out everything in detail, walks you through step by step. She does not assume you’re supposed to know this stuff already. She’s not just a cheerleader. She rolls up her sleeves and gets in there with you. I feel like she was holding my hand every step of the way – in fact, she was! I will continue to do her programs because I’m sure I will be supported to follow through and celebrated upon completion!"

Debra Graugnard - Author of Bridging the GAPS

"Thanks so much for your really GREAT instruction and teaching style.

It's so easy to follow your instructions, and to understand your teachings.

I can tell that you really do care about your students a lot."

Janice Stevens

"I feel comfortable asking questions and I know they will get addressed. D’vorah even offers one on one coaching sessions if you need it!  Her wealth of information and expertise to help you get your projects completed and published is priceless! She’s always very motivating and encouraging to keep going. I highly recommend her programs!"

Lauryn Senko - Author of The Energy of Gratitude

“I have taken a number of courses with D'vorah Lansky. I really enjoy her teaching style. She breaks everything down into logical steps with worksheets and easy to follow action steps. D'vorah doesn’t just bring the knowledge but draws from personal experience what works and what doesn’t, saving her students valuable time. She inspires us to take action and implement her teaching.”

Agi Kadar - Author of The Common Sense Fitness Journal

"I absolutely adore the way D'vorah teaches. Some might sign up to get her PLR - which is a nice bonus, but I signed up because she shares the real stuff. The stuff that makes you understand the workflows that increase your productivity and gets your creations out there. I have a feeling this might be my best investment of the year...;)"

Paul Ramon - Mindstreamer and the Founder of Great Mindset

"D'vorah's Bootcamp program helped me put structures in place that have allowed me to move forward on a couple of projects that I have been thinking about for a long time. I have finally been able to take action on both. The accountability and support on just in time questions proved invaluable. Many thanks!"

Tammy L. Jones - Owner of TLJ Consulting Group, LLC

"D'vorah's courses are legendary! Her experience and knowledge as an educator shines through in everything she does. The action-oriented course materials and worksheets are perfect examples. It's so easy for me to procrastinate with thoughts like 'Where should I start'? D'vorah's materials help me take action! The step-by-step-approach is great for any creative (like us authors!) who tend to get stuck with "I have so many ideas, what should I do first?" Thanks D'vorah, your work is always of an excellent quality."

Liesel Teversham - Author and Connected Introvert

"Each time I take a class from D’vorah, I receive much more than I expect. The materials she presents are well organized and easy to follow. I've taken several courses with D'vorah, and the same level of quality and caring is delivered in each. She knows that telling and showing adult learners is much more effective than just telling them how to execute new skills. Finally, I want to add that D’vorah is patient, warm, fun-loving and friendly. I strongly recommend D’vorah’s courses, and I joyfully give her a five-star rating."

Jordan Gray - Author of The Seventh Major Understanding

"I love how D'vorah breaks everything down into actionable steps - and each step always feels 'doable'.

She demystifies processes we might find daunting and expresses everything really clearly, never assuming her students have technical knowledge they don't yet possess."

Lorna Fergusson - Owner of Fictionfire Writing Academy
