Recently I sent out a survey to our community, which focused on goals, dreams, and prioritizing fun. In reading over the responses, I was moved and inspired. Included in this post, I’ll share some common threads, a hot tip, and an idea that was inspired by the survey results.
First of all, it seems that we have many artists and musicians in our community. So many people responded that they want to be able to find more time for dance, music, and art. Many people responded that they really want to prioritize a project or create a product or product line, to boost their business.
With that in mind… what is it that holds us back from doing what we’d really love to be doing? I know, I know… we are busy working and taking care of day to day responsibilities. But what if??? What if you could prioritize or revive something you’d love to be able to do or love to get back to?
As is the case with so many things in life, the only way it’s going to happen is if we prioritize time to make it happen.
Here’s an exercise to help with this: Open your calendar and schedule a recurring time each week, to spend time doing something that brings you joy. Consider trying this, even just for one month, to see what kind of impact it has on your life? This could be one of the biggest gifts you give to yourself.
What is it that brings you joy that you’d love to make time for?
Scroll down to share your thoughts and perhaps even post a tip as to how you might carve out time to focus on something that brings you joy!
