Author of: Inside the Closed World of the Brain: How brain cells connect, share and disengage–and why this hold the key to Alzheimer’s disease
Business Name and Focus: Reece Biomedical Consulting LLC/Helping newcomers to medical science understand human physiology
What have you accomplished, as a result of participating in any of our courses or Insiders’ Club?
I have created an evergreen online course to help students understand human physiology. It is titled “30-Day Challenge: Craft Your Plan for Learning Physiology.” Without this group i would never have been able to bring this course alive. I have written and published the course manual. It is available at Amazon.
I have finally launched my author website https://www.ComprehendingTheBrain.com. I will be using this website to open a conversation about progress in neuroscience for understanding development of the most prevalent form, 80%-90%, of Alzheimer’s dementia. I have my own Facebook group of students struggling to understand human anatomy and physiology. I have a flourishing Pinterest account – finally. I am active on LinkedIn. It took me a while to figure that one out, but I am there now.
Without the encouragement and practical knowledge I gained from the Reach More Readers Insiders Club, I would not have accomplished any of what is listed. Thank you D’vorah for being such a fine mentor and for bringing together such a great group of people.
How has this helped you to grow your business?
It has been a few years now since I joined this group. My business is growing slowly, but it is growing. For me, this business is more about having a platform where I can be heard on a global basis than making a lot of money. I have email conversations with people from places like Africa where we use Google translate to discuss human physiology and medical science. We do not speak each other’s language, but we can still discuss science together! That feels like magic to me.
What would you like people to know about you and what you offer?
Margaret T. Reece PhD, physiologist, former Senior Scientist and Laboratory Director at academic medical centers in California, New York and Massachusetts and Chief Scientific Officer at Serometrix LLC now heads Reece Biomedical Consulting LLC.
Dr. Reece writes insightful books to help newcomers to medical science understand human physiology. Dr. Reece is particularly concerned with the failure of the pharmaceutical industry to find treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.
Her book “Inside the Closed World of the Brain: How brain cells connect, share and disengage—and why that holds the key to Alzheimer’s disease” is a first attempt to discover where normal brain processes fail and cause dementia. Because the most common type of Alzheimer’s disease, the late-onset sporadic form develops gradually over decades Dr. Reece believes clues are to be found in how brain cells normally carries out their duties. She discusses the latest scientific literature updates at her website https://www.ComprehendingTheBrain.com.
