About the Author: Tere Albanese was born in New Jersey. Her grandmother bought her a piano and her mother gave her ballet lessons. At nine years old, Tere’s family moved to Chatsworth, a suburb of LA. She immediately traded in her ballet slippers for riding boots. And the piano? It’s still collecting dust.
From the time she saw horses, they became her life. Tere rode and showed hunter/jumpers, galloped thoroughbred racehorses at Santa Anita and fox hunted. Tere has been writing since she was a child. She is still writing for the thoroughbred racing community.
Some 20 years ago Tere became a vegetarian because of her love of animals. She has been a vegan for the last 10 years. The name of Tere’s book is . It is about a foxhound that refuses to hunt foxes. It is a true story. She wrote the original poem when she was nine years old. She has since then edited the poem and the way she thinks.
